DOG BREED
The Chihuahua, recognized as the world's tiniest dog breed, is an exceptionally clever and trainable companion. Although believed to have originated in China, the breed got its name from the Mexican state of Chihuahua, where it gained popularity in the 1890s. Due to its small stature, the Chihuahua can be taken anywhere, making it an ideal lap dog. Naturally possessive, this breed also serves as a great watchdog, ready to defend itself even against much larger threats. However, it is not the best fit for households with young children.
