DOG BREED
This athletic and streamlined deer-hunting breed is known for its loyalty and bravery. Thought to be among the rare breeds that were mummified alongside pharaohs of the Sumerian Empire, the Saluki (named after an ancient city) is highly esteemed in the Middle East for its speed on sand and is utilized for hunting in conjunction with falcons. It tends to be a less expressive or affectionate pet and may come across as somewhat detached. There are two varieties of coats: smooth and feathered.
