DOG BREED
As one of the smaller breeds of Mastiffs, this dog may require a considerable amount of time for training and socialization. Originating from the Himalayas, the Tibetan Mastiff has a strong instinct to protect livestock. While it should be approached carefully in its native land, selective breeding in the West has significantly diminished its aggressive nature. Today, it is a suitable house pet and a decent companion—although it tends to be less affectionate—but training it does demand patience.
