DOG BREED
This Loyal and gentle dog breed is energetic yet requires minimal grooming. A typical all-purpose hunting dog from Europe, the short-haired variant of the Vizsla is often referred to as the Hungarian Short-Haired Pointer. It came close to extinction during World War II but has since become a favored companion for hunters as well as families. Highly affectionate, the Vizsla is smart and responds effectively to training. It possesses nearly limitless energy and will happily search for and fetch sticks just as eagerly as it would hunt – for hours if permitted. The wire-haired type, which was developed in the 1930s, is sturdier compared to the smooth-haired Vizsla.
