DOG BREED
The Afghan Hound is known for its striking beauty and brilliance, although the precise origins of the breed remain unclear. It is thought to have been transported to Afghanistan via trade routes, where tribal leaders utilized it for hunting deer, wild goats, and snow leopards. The breed’s long, luxurious fur provides protection against the harsh conditions of its mountainous homeland. In the 1930s, the breed was introduced to the United States by Zeppo Marx of the Marx Brothers, and it has since been favored by many celebrities. Nevertheless, this spirited and independent companion excels not only in obedience but also in various sports activities.
