DOG BREED
Especially favored in Britain during the early 19th century, the Dalmatian was referred to as the "carriage dog" due to its training to run beneath or alongside horse-drawn carriages and fire engines, often traversing long distances. As the only breed of spotted dogs, Dalmatians are known for their intelligence, friendliness, and sociability, making them wonderful companions. Nevertheless, they possess a high energy level and can display stubbornness and aggression towards other dogs, necessitating dedicated training from their owners. Dalmatian puppies are born completely white, making it challenging to determine whether their spots will be black or liver-colored as they mature; this breed's white coat also tends to shed quite a bit.
