DOG BREED
This dog is quite spirited and can be irritable, necessitating an active owner. It features a unique strip of fur along its spine that grows against the grain of the rest of its coat, making it instantly identifiable. Originating from Zimbabwe (previously known as Rhodesia), this breed likely descended from dogs introduced to southern Africa by European colonizers. Since the Rhodesian Ridgeback was historically utilized in packs for lion hunting, it is sometimes referred to as the African Lion Hound. Despite its fierce reputation, this breed is gentle and loving, making it a great family pet for skilled owners. This dog requires regular activity, as it may develop behavioral issues if it becomes bored or lacks sufficient exercise.
