DOG BREED
This breed has an instinctual response to affection, but should not be left alone with small pets. Originally utilized as a boar-hunting dog in the secluded mountainous areas of Japan, the Shikoku has largely avoided crossbreeding. Consequently, this breed retains a strong connection to its original characteristics. With resilience, agility, and a tendency to pursue other animals, the Shikoku can be difficult to train, but it develops deep bonds with those it loves and trusts.
