CAT BREED
The unique ticked fur of this small cat intrigued American scientist Hal Meadow during his time in Singapore in the 1970s. Meadow and his wife initiated a breeding program for Singapuras, operating it in both Singapore and the United States. By the 1990s, British breeders had also developed an interest in these cats. Today, Singapuras are recognized globally, although they remain quite uncommon. Despite their small size, they have larger-than-life personalities; these cats are inquisitive and playful, thriving when they can explore from a shelf or perch high on their owner's shoulder.
