DOG BREED
The medium-sized Standard Schnauzer was established as a breed in southern Germany in the 1880s. Alert and agile, the Standard Schnauzer was used primarily as a versatile farm dog with a formidable reputation for rat-hunting. Calm and affectionate, but with a lively sense of fun, this breed is now popular as a family dog.
